Day One Leadership: Experience That Delivers Results

Experience isn't something you can fake. It's earned — meeting after meeting, negotiation after negotiation, when the pressure is high and the stakes are real. For the past eight years, I've lived those moments. As President of the Deputy Sheriffs' Association, I sat across from the Department, the City, and attorneys countless times — and I never backed down.
When you vote for me as your next MSA Vice President, you're not getting someone who needs time to learn. You're getting someone who's ready to go to work on Day One.
Eight Years of Proven Leadership
1. Labor-Management Meetings
These meetings are where problems are solved — or ignored. I've spent eight years at the table turning complaints into action. Whether it was equipment shortages, shift scheduling, or safety standards, I made sure management heard our concerns and acted. I know the process, the personalities, and the politics — and how to turn them in our favor.
2. Meet and Confers
Every policy change, every new directive from the Department, starts here. Most people just "meet and confer." I negotiate. I challenge. I make management justify every impact on our members. That's how you protect rights before they're eroded.
3. Arbitration
When it goes to arbitration, the stakes are highest — and that's where I've excelled. I've stood shoulder to shoulder with attorneys and, at times, overruled their cautious advice when I knew we could win more. Those decisions weren't based on ego — they were based on experience, instinct, and confidence built over years of fighting and winning.
4. Contract Negotiations
This is where it all comes together. Three collective bargaining agreements negotiated, and every one of them stronger than the last. Higher pay. Better benefits. Clearer protections. While others talked about compromise, I fought for improvement — and I delivered.
Why Experience Matters
Negotiating with the City isn't about hope — it's about leverage. It's about knowing the language of labor law, understanding the mindset of management, and recognizing when to push and when to hold the line. Without that experience, even the best intentions can fall apart under pressure.
I've seen it happen. And I've made sure it doesn't happen on my watch.
Eight Years of Winning — Ready on Day One
When you vote for me, you're not voting for potential. You're voting for proof.
- ✓Eight years of victories.
- ✓Eight years of protecting our members.
- ✓Eight years of outmaneuvering the City when it mattered most.
On Day One, I'll be ready to take on the Department and the City — to negotiate, to protect, and to win.
Because I don't fold under pressure. I fight to get the most. And I have the record to prove it.
